KCS PR On Track for Rail Safety

Kleinfelder Construction Services’ Public Relations team has partnered with California Operation Lifesaver (CAOL) to become champions of rail safety. Over the summer, every team member completed their Operation Lifesaver (OL) certification, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to educate the public about railroad safety.

As part of this certification, the team is actively involved in sharing vital rail safety information on their relevant client project’s and through requested presentations and tabling events in California. Using engaging presentations, videos, and interactive activities, they emphasize the importance of staying alert, following warning signs, and avoiding railroad trespassing.

Recently, the team conducted a successful rail safety presentation for school bus drivers in the Temecula Valley Unified School District (District). With about 90 drivers in attendance, presenters Anna Finlay and Anthony Lopez shared essential tips and resources to ensure the safety of students and staff traveling near railroad tracks. The team is looking forward to participating in upcoming events and presentations through OL, including a booth at the annual Claremont Colleges Back to the Future event in California and a presentation to Cleveland Community College early childhood education students in Tennessee.
