Kleinfelder Ranked No. 43 on ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms List
SAN DIEGO, California – For the sixth consecutive year, Kleinfelder has been ranked in the Top 50 engineering, science, and architecture consulting firms, recently being named No. 43 on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2015 Top 500 Design Firms List.
Published annually by ENR, the Top 500 Design Firms List ranks privately- and publically-held consulting firms based on reported revenue during the previous calendar year. In 2014, Kleinfelder’s reported revenue was $379.7-million, a 90% growth from the previous year.
No.18 on Top 20 Water List
Kleinfelder was ranked No. 18 on its Top 20 Water List, a two-point increase since first appearing on this list in 2010. The company – which generated $13-million from water supply design – is known for its creative and sustainable water supply solutions, having worked on many high-profile projects including: the Vine Brook Aquifer Water Treatment Facility in Burlington, Massachusetts; the $84-million San Clemente Dam Decommissioning in California; and the $70-million North Regional Tertiary Treatment Plant at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
No. 42 on Top 50 Designers in International Markets
Kleinfelder’s emerging international business was recognized by ENR, which ranked the company No. 42 on its Top 50 Designers in International Markets List. This is the first time Kleinfelder has made the list. The company’s international operations have been growing since 2012, when Kleinfelder acquired Ecobiological Group and Alliance Engineering & Consulting, two Australian environmental firms. Most recently, Kleinfelder acquired the Hood Group, an Alberta-based, privately-owned organization providing engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services to clients primarily in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and manufacturing industries. In 2014, the company’s international operations netted $52.1-million, a 234% increase from the previous year.
Kleinfelder’s 54-year legacy of providing engineering, environmental, and architectural design services carried into other categories, with the company ranked No. 14 in Hazardous Waste and No. 24 on the Top 100 Pure Designers List.
