Kleinfelder’s Jim Dill to Co-Chair IEA Air Committee

IRVINE, California – The Industrial Environmental Association of San Diego (IEA) has named Kleinfelder’s Environmental Service Line Director Jim Dill, PE, as the co-chairman of its Air Committee, effective May 21. The IEA Air Committee advocates responsible air quality regulations and laws for manufacturers and associated organizations throughout Southern California. This will be Dill’s second term leading the Air Committee.

“Jim brings invaluable experience and expertise to his second stint as co-chair of IEA’s Air Committee,” says Jack Monger, IEA’s executive director. “His leadership in this dynamic regulatory environment will be essential in helping IEA member companies stay current and ‘in compliance’ with existing and new air quality rules, regulations, and risk assessment guidelines.”

A national leader in environmental rules and regulations, Dill has more than 21-years of experience as an air quality engineer and environmental compliance project manager. His technical background spans several areas, including internal combustion engines and other combustion-related equipment, emission inventories, permitting projects, New Source Review/Best Available Control Technology (NSR/BACT), engineering evaluations, air pollution control equipment, risk management plans, and spill prevention, control and countermeasure plans. He oversees Kleinfelder’s environmental compliance service line, which includes the Environmental Regulatory Compliance, Air Quality, Greenhouse Gas, and Risk Analysis & Toxicology Practices.  Dill completed his master’s and bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. He is a professional engineer (PE) in California.

“I look forward to helping IEA meet the many critical and compelling challenges ahead, while also continuing to grow positive relationships between southern California businesses and top regulators from Sacramento,” says Dill. “It is an honor to be elected for a second term and a privilege to serve IEA’s membership and our field.”

IEA is an advocacy group that works on behalf of its membership companies in industry and manufacturing to ensure that their opinions and interests are represented in the California policy making process. The group is supported by many San Diego and Southern California companies and is highly respected for its presence and contributions, both by the IEA’s leadership and its participants.
