Ohio CDBG Allocation and Competitive Programs and Support
Under Ohio’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, counties receive project applications from eligible local governments within their jurisdictions and evaluate them to identify priority community development needs. Following project selection, counties apply for funding through the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) Office of Community Infrastructure (OCI). Once awarded, CDBG funds are used to support a wide range of public infrastructure, community facilities, neighborhood and downtown revitalization, and economic development initiatives. Kleinfelder has provided application and comprehensive administration services for federally funded CDBG programs across Ohio.
Ohio CDBG CHIP Programs and Support
Under Ohio’s Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program, eligible counties and cities may apply for competitive funding to address the residential housing repair or rehabilitation needs of low- and moderate-income (LMI) residents, including accessibility, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, etc. Kleinfelder has provided comprehensive administration and inspection services for CHIP programs in Ohio since 1993.
