Kids’ Chance Awareness Week
November 18-22 is Kids’ Chance Awareness Week – a time to support the mission of this organization that provides scholarships and support to the kids of workers who have been injured on the job.
Kleinfelder is proud to raise funds for Kids’ Chance annually during OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week, the nationwide campaign that celebrates workplace health and safety successes and brings heightened awareness to the importance of proactive participation in safety programs.
Since 2020, we’ve raised $44,354 for Kids’ Chance of America during our Safe + Sound Week events — through staff participation in safety-related activities that equated to funds donated by Kleinfelder, as well as personal donations by staff.
“Kids’ Chance is committed to building brighter futures for the kids of injured workers — but we couldn’t do it without corporate partners like Kleinfelder,” said Jennifer Malenky, director of corporate giving for Kids’ Chance of America. “We are so grateful for your support for our mission; together, we can ensure that every student whose family has been affected by workplace injury can build a career through a college education or trade school training.”
As a multidisciplinary firm, our staff provide a myriad of services at job sites where engineering, construction, and environmental hazards are prevalent. While our safety culture serves as a unifying cornerstone of our operations, it also fosters a sense of responsibility that unites Kleinfelder with the broader community. The desire to extend our value of safety beyond our organization led us to select Kids’ Chance as a recipient of our fundraising efforts.
