Veteran Tim Bayes Shares Leadership and Life Lessons

In celebration of Veterans Day, we are proud to highlight Senior Project Controls Manager Timothy Bayes in our Dover, DE office and his LinkedIn newsletter titled, “YES…YOU!”

Tim, who served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force, launched the newsletter earlier this year to share insights gained over his extensive military career. From his beginnings as a Structural Technician to his leadership as Command Chief at Dover Air Force Base, Tim’s journey has given him unique perspectives on leadership, resilience, and personal growth—lessons he now channels into “YES…YOU!”

Through his newsletter, Tim shares insights on topics such as overcoming self-doubt, learning from failure, setting meaningful goals, the importance of perseverance, and leading with empathy and purpose. His mission is clear: he wants to support others, whether they are looking to advance their careers, improve as leaders, or build stronger personal connections. As Tim puts it, “If I can help even just one person navigate a difficult time, advance their career, or become a better version of themselves, then this will all be worth it.” The title, “YES…YOU!” reflects his belief in everyone’s potential to make a positive impact, both within and beyond the workplace.

The dedication and resilience of veterans like Tim provide valuable lessons in leadership and personal growth, which we can all learn from. To follow Tim’s journey and gain insights from “YES…YOU!”, check out his posts on LinkedIn and subscribe for future updates!
