Did you know? Kleinfelder is a member of the National Safety Council (NSC), a nonprofit safety advocate organization that focuses on eliminating the leading causes of preventable injuries and deaths.
The NSC is also a sponsor of Safe + Sound Week, so we are highlighting Kleinfelder’s membership with this impactful organization.
As a member, Kleinfelder’s Health & Safety team – and all employees – have access to NCS resources, including opportunities to participate in educational webinars and forums, network with others in the industry, and engage with the NSC’s mission and offerings.
Kleinfelder Health & Safety Director Sally Miller said that one safety challenge Kleinfelder faced that NSC has helped with is improving driver safety training efficacy.
“The National Safety Council was instrumental in providing solutions by offering specific driver safety training modules that address the driving risks most relevant to our staff,” she commented. “These modules are now mandatory training for Kleinfelder employees via our internal learning management system.”
Sally said that Kleinfelder will also utilize NSC’s benchmarking tools to improve our safety programs and culture going forward.
“Kleinfelder’s managers and employees have created a trend of remarkable growth in Kleinfelder’s Health & Safety culture,” she said, “and I look forward to continued improvement with NSC as a partner for the benefit and safety of our employees, business partners, and the public.”
