This client has a large portfolio of base properties with significant bushfire impact. As part of the client’s risk management, each property has a Bushfire Management Plan (BMP) that requires regulatory review every five years. Kleinfelder was selected to audit each of the BMPs and develop recommendations for improvement.

Bushfire Management Within Budget

Kleinfelder conducted a comprehensive review of each BMP for the client’s portfolio of national base properties—on time and within budget. We employed innovative techniques, such as pre-site inspection fire modeling and calculation to project flame length and radiant heat exposure. As a result, Kleinfelder is now considered a reliable, efficient, and valuable resource for Aurecon (Australian Defence Force contractor) for additional bushfire design and planning work with the Australian Department of Defence.
