DALLAS, TX (April 14, 2022) – The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) College of Fellows has unanimously elected Kleinfelder VP Bill Hasbrook, FDBIA, MEMS, TCFM, as the 2022/2023 Vice Chancellor. In this role, Bill will assist the Chancellor, serve in the Chancellor’s place when unavailable, and serve on the Executive Committee. At the end of the two-year term, Bill will become the nominee for the 2024/2025 Chancellor.
Designated Design-Build Professional™ Fellow status is the highest level of DBIA certification and acknowledges the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished design-build professionals. Elevation to Fellow status celebrates individual career achievements and promotes DBIA principles through the DBIA College of Fellows. DBIA Fellow status is limited to 2% of Designated Design-Build Professionals who are elected to Fellowship by a jury of their peers.
Bill is an industry-recognized advocate of the design-build procurement method for both public and private entities. He has over 40 years of experience in the industry that includes projects for transportation departments; utility and energy providers; commercial, industrial, food and beverage, pharma-chem, and manufacturing clients; and the Departments of Defense, Energy, and State. The portfolio total of these projects is approaching $20 billion.
Bill was previously honored with a Member of the Year Award by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and a Design-Build Distinguished Leadership Award and Design-Build Transportation Leadership Award through the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). He has served in numerous local, state, regional, and national capacities within DBIA, including as a member on multiple committees, a Southeast and Southwest Regional Board Member, the 2014 Certification Board Chairman, and most recently as the 2018 National Board Chairman (where he still serves today).
