Risk Management
Risk identification, risk mitigation, risk reduction for human health, biological, and infrastructure.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Kleinfelder’s services continue as the Owner’s Representative, once the project moves from the planning/design phase to the construction phase.
ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
Includes preparation of plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for design, bid, build or design-build procurements.
Environmental Engineering
Preparation of plans and specifications for water/wastewater treatment plants, raw/potable water storage and distribution systems, wastewater collection and outfall systems, and soil/groundwater remediation systems.
Geotechnical Engineering
Laboratory analysis of soil and rock samples and preparation of foundation, retaining wall, and slope stability designs.
Structural Engineering
Structural analysis and design for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
Civil Design
Grading plans, SWPPP, hydrology studies/storm drain designs, hydraulic studies/sewer designs, and utility plans.
ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND PRELIMINARY DESIGN
These services have proven successful to clearly define the range of impacts that must be evaluated and mitigated, to support engineering design and ensure project viability.
Preliminary Geotechnical Engineering
Classification of surface and subsurface soil types and development of foundation design parameters.
Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
Phase I and Phase II ESAs to evaluate whether soil and/or groundwater has been impacted.
CEQA Compliance (California)
Initial studies, categorical exemptions, negative declarations, mitigated negative declarations, and environmental impact reports.
NEPA Compliance
Environmental assessments, categorical exclusions, findings of no significant impact, environmental impact statements.
EARLY STAGE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Our capabilities to assist our clients in the early stages of project development include conceptual design services and master planning of upcoming projects and needs.
Natural Resource Surveys
Nature and extent of biological, air, water, and wetland issues, and site development impact analysis.
Preliminary Assessments
Infrastructure assessments, environmental assessments, compliance assessments, sustainability audits, PRP audits.
Program Management and Consultation
Strategic planning in collaboration with client team to create a cost-effective implementation plan.
