Kleinfelder’s Mount Dora, FL office joins Habitat for Humanity’s Jingle Build-Off to support families in need

Kleinfelder’s Mount Dora staff — including Alexis Seecharan, Lisa Daugherty, Amy Townsend, Connie Campbell-Grady, Narongsak Lawrence, Noah Poloniecki, and Ava Gomez — recently took part in the annual Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter Jingle Build-Off, an event that combines creativity and community impact. The competition invites teams to design and construct playhouses for children, with entry fees and additional funds supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide affordable housing solutions in Lake and Sumter counties.

Each team in the Jingle Build-Off is matched with a family and provided details about the child’s interests to inspire their design. The Kleinfelder team was paired with a child who loves Bluey, leading them to create a Queensland-style playhouse reminiscent of the character’s home. The personalized playhouses are then gifted to families in need just in time for the holidays, bringing joy to children while supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

In addition to building playhouses, the event included an online fundraising competition. Votes for the best playhouse were $1 each, with all proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity. The Kleinfelder team’s playhouse was among the top five, with 142 votes.
