WARNERS BAY, Australia and CALIFORNIA, United States — Kleinfelder today announced that Peter Barton, formerly the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Yancoal Australia Ltd., has been named Principal Energy and Mining, effective immediately. In his new role, Barton will rely on 35 years of technical and leadership experience to advise clients operating in the energy and mining sectors on a wide array of topics, including environmental assessments, planning approvals, biological surveys and land management.

Kleinfelder is known in the architecture and engineering industry for its extensive environmental, permitting, siting and construction services.
