Kleinfelder has been selected as one of five firms supporting a cultural resources contract with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific. The multiple-award contract has a combined capacity of $70 million and provides Kleinfelder the opportunity to compete for cultural resource technical services throughout the NAVFAC Pacific area of responsibility.
The contract includes a one-year base period and six option years, with work expected to continue through August 2033. Kleinfelder was selected through a competitive procurement process that received eight offers.

Supporting Cultural Resources Across the Pacific
Work under the contract is expected to take place primarily in Hawaiʻi, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, with additional work possible throughout NAVFAC Pacific’s area of responsibility. The RFP identifies Hawaiʻi as accounting for approximately 81% of anticipated work, followed by Guam at 18%, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands at 1%.
The contract covers a broad range of cultural resource services, including archaeological surveys, monitoring and data recovery, architectural history and historic preservation studies, archival research, GIS, cultural and historical interpretation, as well as other specialized technical services.
Future assignments will be awarded through competitive-bid task orders. The overall contract award gives Kleinfelder the opportunity to support a wide range of NAVFAC Pacific projects over the next several years through applying our team’s cultural resources services across the Pacific region.
