Kleinfelder Opens New Laboratory in Houston
HOUSTON, Texas (August 19, 2025) – Kleinfelder is happy to announce the opening of a new geotechnical and materials testing laboratory located at 11665 Fuqua Street, Suite A100, in Houston, Texas. The custom-designed laboratory space will serve clients in the Texas region and beyond.
Heading up the lab operations is Houston Construction Materials Engineering and Testing (CoMET) Leader Thomas Dunnam. Dunnam recently joined the team, bringing over a decade of experience in construction materials testing, advanced geotechnical laboratory testing, and chemical testing for geotechnical applications.
“I joined Kleinfelder after working alongside them for many years,” Dunnam said. “I admire the demonstrated dedication to solving client challenges, thorough investigation practices, and quality results. When this opportunity to lead a branch of Kleinfelder operations came up, I jumped at the chance to be a part of this team.”
Dunnam added that the laboratory is poised for growth, with a current staff of two field technicians, one Engineer-in-Training (EIT), and a laboratory manager.
