Kleinfelder Wins Environmental Contract with the San Diego Unified Port District

The recent win marks the team’s third consecutive award of this contract

Kleinfelder has been awarded a share of the San Diego Unified Port District’s (the District) three-year As-Needed Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Contract, with the potential for two additional years. This marks the team’s third consecutive win for this contract, reinforcing a decade-long track record of delivering high-quality environmental services within the tidelands of San Diego Bay.

Over the past 10 years, Kleinfelder has supported the District across a wide range of environmental projects—from Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to hazardous building material surveys, remediation efforts, and contaminated sediment investigations. Our team’s strong performance has also led to expanded services beyond environmental work, including civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering; stormwater and air compliance; litigation support; and 3D modeling.

This contract win reflects both our team’s technical capabilities and history of high-quality work, as well as the strength of Kleinfelder’s longstanding relationship with the District.

“The District’s continued trust in our team and expertise directly stems from the consistent quality and reliability we’ve delivered year after year.”—Jake Lippman, Project Manager

The contract will provide Kleinfelder staff the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, including some that involve fieldwork on the harbor, as shown in the photo above.
