Kleinfelder Awarded $3M Environmental Contract at San Diego International Airport

Kleinfelder has been awarded a $3 million, five-year, as-needed contract by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (Authority) to support environmental site assessment and remediation efforts at San Diego International Airport (SAN). This contract builds on Kleinfelder’s 15-year history of delivering environmental services at the airport, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, hazardous building material assessments, groundwater remediation, discharge permitting, and PFAS investigations.

With significant development planned at SAN, Kleinfelder’s as-needed contract provides ample opportunity to support the Airport Authority’s future projects, as upcoming initiatives will require environmental services.

“We’re excited to continue our longstanding relationship with the Airport Authority, providing high-quality environmental services that ensure project milestones are met,” said Jake Lippman, Task Authorization Manager for the as-needed contract. “Our team is dedicated to supporting the Authority’s mission to enhance San Diego International Airport’s operations while advancing environmental standards.”
