Dr. Scott Grieco Joins Kleinfelder to Lead National PFAS Strategy

SAN DIEGO, California (September 15, 2024) – The Kleinfelder Group, Inc. (Kleinfelder), a leading engineering, design, construction management, construction materials inspection and testing, and environmental professional services firm, announced today that Scott A. Grieco, PhD, PE, has joined the company as VP, National PFAS Lead. In this role, Dr. Grieco will drive strategic growth and technical delivery of PFAS (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) planning, design, and remediation services across U.S. markets, with a particular focus on the water and energy sectors. He also held roles as Principal Technologist and Global Technology Leader, as well as Community-of-Practice Leader for PFAS, and served as Vice President, among other roles, with O’Brien & Gere prior to his tenure at Jacobs.

“Scott is a great addition to our team,” said Rebecca Katzke, PE, Senior Vice President and National Water Market Manager. “With recent regulations surrounding drinking water, Kleinfelder is at the forefront of developing solutions to address the challenges associated with PFAS. Scott’s experience, education, and leadership in this space will enhance our capabilities and allow us to expand our service offerings to meet our clients’ evolving needs.”

Dr. Grieco holds a PhD in bioprocess engineering from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Environment Science and Forestry/Syracuse University, a master’s in environmental engineering from Syracuse University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from SUNY Buffalo.  He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New York.
