Kleinfelder Sponsors 2021 WTS Conference

May 11, 2021

For the third year, Kleinfelder is proud to sponsor the 2021 WTS Annual Conference.

Since 1977, WTS International – then called Women’s Transportation Seminar – has focused on promoting the advancement of women in the transportation industry.

Margaret O’Meara

“WTS has an inspiring program that showcases our incredible women leaders in the transportation industry and offers an exchange of ideas that will enrich all who participate,” said Margaret O’Meara, Kleinfelder Vice President and East Division Transportation Market Leader. “After more than a year of disruption from the pandemic, our speakers will reflect on important lessons and inspiring the future. Our diverse speakers will focus on themes including equity and inclusion, technology, and mobility innovations that are re-shaping our industry.”

Kleinfelder sponsored the two opening roundtables that kicked off the weeklong event on Monday, May 10:

Executive Women’s Roundtable. Margaret welcomed this roundtable – a special event for WTS Executive members who serve in leadership positions within the transportation industry – with opening remarks. Discussion and speakers focused on the unique challenges facing women in leadership and the skills critical for their success. Sessions covered topics such as leading change, crisis management, orchestrating major change, and strategic support for women remaining in the workforce.

Jennifer Prescott

Women Business Owners Roundtable. Following opening remarks from Kleinfelder Chief Information Officer and Innovation Lead Jennifer Prescott, the Women Business Owners Roundtable featured a select group of leading women business owners in the transportation industry who shared successful experiences, best practices, and learnings from one another about starting and running a successful business in today’s world. Sessions also covered topics such as ownership succession planning, diversifying revenue streams, fostering company culture, strategic planning, and navigating personal challenges unique to owning your own business.
