17 Years After Graduating, Aaron Lang Returns to Support Redevelopment
Aaron’s role on the $200M school redevelopment project, for which CMWorks-Kleinfelder is providing owner’s representative construction management services, is featured in a video produced by Washoe County School District.
Seventeen years ago, after graduating from Procter Hug High School in Washoe County, Aaron Lang, a Project Coordinator II from the CMWorks-Kleinfelder Reno office, would have never guessed he’d later support the high school’s massive redevelopment project, but that’s exactly what he’s doing now!
With the Procter Hug High School campus quickly aging and unable to accommodate additional students from neighboring schools experiencing overcrowding, the Washoe County School District received approval to replace the school with a new high school campus at the reduced footprint for the county Wildcreek Golf Course. CMWorks-Kleinfelder is providing owner’s representative construction management services for the $200 million project which builds a 295,000-square-foot school that will be three stories and include a 435-seat performing arts center, three gymnasiums, and more than 80 classrooms, group rooms, and art and music labs.
When the school district learned Aaron and two other construction crew members had attended Procter Hug High, they were inspired to make and share a video about the alumni supporting the new school construction. Check out the video below, featuring our very own Aaron Lang, and learn more about this massive CMWorks-Kleinfelder project!
