Kleinfelder Receives 2019 Employer Recognition Award from Boston Society of Civil Engineers
BOSTON, Massachusetts – Kleinfelder was presented with the 2019 Boston Society of Civil Engineers (BSCES) 2019 Large Employer Recognition Award at the 170th BSCES Annual Awards Dinner on July 16, 2019. The award recognizes organizations that commit to providing exceptional opportunities to their engineers by encouraging technical and professional growth, community involvement, and active participation in industry associations, including ASCE and BSCES.
Kleinfelder was selected for the award based on the company’s commitment to support and encourage staff participation and leadership in professional associations. Kleinfelder was recognized for its sponsorship of BSCES and ASCE; reimbursement program for employee membership dues, education courses, and event attendance; allocating budget for staff to develop and submit technical papers; and rewarding participation in professional associations during the annual review process.
Testament to Kleinfelder’s commitment to encouraging participation in professional associations within Massachusetts, are the many notable contributions to BSCES from Kleinfelder staff over the past year. In addition to over 25 active members, Kleinfelder staff attended eight BSCES events; held (and currently hold) leadership positions including BSCES Vice President, Vice Chair for the Transportation & Development Institute Chapter of BSCES, and Chair of the Awards Committee; assisted with planning lectures and seminars; and participated on the BSCES newsletter editorial board as well as authored several articles for the newsletter.
