Kleinfelder’s NXL division celebrates two major wins in the County of Hanover and City of Hampton

Kleinfelder has recently been awarded two major contracts in the state of Virginia. The first win, announced at the end of September, is for an on-call contract with Hanover County to provide land surveying services. The second contract, announced mid-October, is with the City of Hampton to provide professional architecture and engineering services for the alteration of ADA ramps and curbing.

Read on to learn more about these significant wins!

On-Call Surveying Services:
Hanover County

This contract for environmental, wetland/streams, hydrogeological, engineering, and land surveying services will primarily focus on surveying for various capital improvement projects, including stormwater management systems, impoundment rehabilitations, regulated dams, low-impact developments (LID), and site plan developments.

Having served as a consultant in Hanover County since 1996, Kleinfelder’s proven track record providing quality services was a key factor in our selection. The survey team brings extensive experience across the Commonwealth, utilizing advanced technology and a deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, including the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Locally Administered Projects (LAP) requirements.

Architecture and Engineering Services:
City of Hampton

Bringing an experienced team of professionals with an extensive understanding of the requirements for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps and curbs, Kleinfelder will serve as the prime consultant providing design services to aid the City with the development of a process for the alteration requirements of ADA ramps and curbing.

This is an important step in the City of Hampton’s intentions to better serve its constituents and provide safer communities and aligns with our national experience contributing design and construction services to projects that have led to significant improvements for people with disabilities — and beyond.

NXL was acquired by Kleinfelder on November 15, 2021 through the acquisition of Century Engineering (read more here).
