Bret Martine, Vice President and Senior Program Manager, Traffic Engineering and Utility Locates for Century Engineering, a Kleinfelder Company, was honored at the Annual American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Expo and Conference in Phoenix, AZ in February. Bret served as the Chair for the Chapter President’s Committee, Budget Committee, Operating Committee, and National Board of Directors – CPC Liaison from 2020-23.

Bret received recognition and appreciation of his outstanding leadership abilities, and said of the award, “It really comes down to having a drive to plan, design, and build safer roads to save lives.”

ATSSA represents the roadway safety infrastructure industry with effective legislative advocacy, traffic control safety training, and a far-reaching member partnership. ATSSA helps shift the focus of transportation toward saving lives and reducing injuries.

Bret said that ATSSA membership has many benefits, including first-hand knowledge of new products and strengthened relationships with industry leaders.

“It’s these leaders who strive for change – ultimately making roadways safer,” he said.

Incorporated in 1970 as an International Trade Association, ATSSA is a member partnership comprised of approximately 1,500 companies representing more than 11,000 industry professionals in the sign manufacturing, pavement marking, guardrail and barrier, traffic signals and technical innovation fields whose core purpose is to advance roadway safety.

Congratulations, Bret!
