Mike Egbert Leads San Diego Feel Good Float

IT Technician Mike Egbert in Kleinfelder’s San Diego office recently led the annual Downtown San Diego Feel Good Float – an event that brings together the local Onewheel community to support those experiencing homelessness. Over 35 Onewheel riders participated in the event, handing out over 100 bags of food and essential resources.
The Downtown San Diego Feel Good Float was started three years ago by Mike who initially provided all the food and resources for the bags as well as packed the bags and made sandwiches for them (a task his mom happily helps with). As the participation in the event grew, so did the donations and support from the Onewheel community. Now, in addition to the annual Downtown San Diego Feel Good Float, Mike coordinates several smaller-scale floats throughout the year in various local neighborhoods. Since starting the effort, he has delivered over 400 bags to those in need.
Having been through some tough times as a teenager, Mike explained that the Feel Good Floats are very personal to him. “Love and quality go into each bag, and my hope is that they provide comfort or spark a bit of joy for those who are down on their luck,” he said.
