With over 30 years of industry experience spanning engineering, project management, and construction on a wide range of project and client types, Steve has successfully retained positions throughout the operational spectrum while demonstrating his technical knowledge and leadership capabilities. Prior to this role, Steve oversaw the entirety of the operations for Veenstra & Kimm, Inc., which was an organization Kleinfelder acquired in April 2025. Steve is passionate about addressing client challenges with creative, collaborative, and responsive solutions. Steve’s leadership style is based on fostering technical excellence, team building, and operational accountability.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in Iowa and Wisconsin.
