In the article Update on PFAS and Massachusetts Drinking Water, Kirsten discusses how emerging contaminants of concern, such as per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), can affect the general public, and how MassDEP is working to implement guidelines and regulations to reduce human exposure to PFAS through drinking water. Recently, (after the article went to press), MassDEP announced its intention to begin the process of establishing a drinking water maximum contaminant level (MCL) for certain PFAS.
