MANCHESTER VILLAGE, Vermont — The American Water Works Association (AWWA) has awarded Larry VandeVenter, Kleinfelder’s Vice President of Major Accounts, with the Silver Water Drop Award. The award was given at the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) Annual Conference held in Manchester Village, Vermont.
The Silver Water Drop Award recognizes VandeVenter’s 30 years of membership in the AWWA and confers Life Membership.
“Membership in AWWA and the local section has been invaluable to me in my career as a drinking water treatment specialist," says VandeVenter of his experience with the organization. “Above and beyond staying technically informed on all the latest developments within drinking water treatment, the AWWA has enabled me to build a national and international network of colleagues, friends, and contacts within the industry.”
VandeVenter joined Kleinfelder in 2012 after a 30-year career as a professional water treatment consultant. Throughout his career, VandeVenter performed process development, feasibility studies, and full-scale water treatment plant designs internationally. He is a recognized expert in membrane separation technologies, desalination, coagulation, high-rate clarification, filtration, ozonation, disinfection, and reuse.
Approximately 350 attendees participated in two days of technical presentations and social events, including the banquet at which Larry received his honors.
