Jeffrey Hale Announced as Kleinfelder’s Emerging Environmental Issues Leader
CRANBERRY, Pennsylvania – Forty years after the Love Canal hazardous waste site launched the environmental consulting industry, Kleinfelder’s clients continue to respond to new emerging environmental issues such as hydraulic fracturing, the resurgence of lead contamination, sediment, and exotic fluorinated chemicals to name a few. To respond to these changes in the market, Kleinfelder has appointed Jeffrey Hale as Kleinfelder’s Emerging Environmental Issues Leader.
Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeff is a Senior Principal Professional with Kleinfelder’s Contaminated Lands Service Line. Jeff has been with Kleinfelder since 2004, providing consultation for challenging environmental issues internationally with emphasis on emerging issues, complex sites, remediation, liability management, and environmental forensics. He has been an active contributor and leader in several industry organizations, including NGWA, ITRC, and ASTM, and is a past winner of Kleinfelder’s Award for Technical Excellence.
Emerging contaminants has been identified as a focus area in Kleinfelder’s Contaminated Lands Service Line. Our engagement with clients on recent issues related to perfluorinated compounds (PFAS/PFOAs) has shown that we need to commit greater resources to this effort. Jeff will have the authority, responsibility, and accountability to tackle the emerging technical challenges for Kleinfelder’s. In his new role Jeff will:
- Bring focus to ensure that Kleinfelder is on the forefront of emerging environmental issues through industry leadership
- Participate in leading-edge projects
- Support major business development pursuits, engaging with technical professionals, project managers, and client account managers across Kleinfelder’s geographies
