Did you know? Kleinfelder is a registered adaptation practitioner and can help support the application process for communities interested in the Climate Smart Communities Initiative (CSCI). We can also provide technical expertise for buildings and infrastructure, water systems, transportation, community engagement, coastal challenges, and land use and ecosystems. Grant awards will range from $75,000 to $115,000 and can help small and midsize communities with projects at any step of the planning process. Funding can be used over a 12-month period to advance activities ranging from risk assessments and community engagement to project prioritization and implementation.
Applicant teams are required to have:
- A Registered Adaptation Practitioner (Kleinfelder)
- Local/Tribal Government Representative
- Community-Based Organization/Non-Profit/Academic partner
