Perry L. Anderson was recently appointed as the Kleinfelder’s ASNT NDT Level III leader. In this capacity Anderson is responsible for the certifications of Kleinfelder’s Nondestructive Testing (NDT) steel and welding inspectors across the country. In addition to certifications, Anderson’s responsibilities will include procedure writing for projects with special requirements, reviewing welding and steel inspection specifications for, steel fabrication audits, reviewing project welding quality control plans, certifying subcontracted NDT service companies and weighing in on project issues involving steel inspection and welding. Anderson has more than 24 years of quality control and quality assurance experience with increasing responsibility and accountability for quality assurance results. He has extensive project experience in the fields of fossil fuel/nuclear power generation, oil refining, steel fabrication, aerospace, precast concrete, pressurized systems and bridge/freeway construction. He has specialized in quality assurance surveillance and project management as a contractor in the state of California for quality initiatives in California bridge construction. Anderson has performed and managed quality control operations in private industries and with government entities including California Department of Transportation, Los Angeles County Department of Water and Power, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, NASA, Lockheed Martin, Fluor Construction, Hensel Phelps, Hitachi Corporation, Disney and Six Flags Corporation. Anderson moved to North Carolina in 2006 when he joined Trigon Engineering Consultants, Inc. to create and manage a steel inspection/NDT department and become the company Level III. Anderson has an Associate Degree in applied science, is a member of several professional associations, cochairman of the Charlotte Section of ASNT. Additionally, Anderson holds accredited certifications with several professional associations including, the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing, the American Welding Society, the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, the American Concrete Institute, and the International Code Council. |
