Kleinfelder employee–owners enjoy comprehensive and competitive benefits. In addition to important coverage for health, personal finance and general well being, employees are also able to participate in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan Program.

Health

  • Medical – We proudly offer three basic health care options: a premium Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), standard PPO, and a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) through Kaiser Permanente.
  • Dental – Our dental plan coverage offers a PPO or the flexibility to choose a dentist outside of the network.
  • Vision – Coverage is offered through a network of more than 10,000 independent optical retail locations nationwide. Save 20–60 percent on eyeglasses, non–prescription sunglasses and disposable contact lens.
  • Pharmaceutical Services – Available to you and your dependents to save money on the cost of prescriptions.
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Waive Option – If you have other medical insurance, you may waive the medical, dental and vision coverage and receive a rebate! Life, AD&D and Long Term Disability (LTD) are still part of your benefits at no cost to you.
  • Qualified Domestic Partner – Our medical and dental plan coverage is offered to those employee–owners with qualified domestic partners.
  • Wellness Incentives – Kleinfelder supports wellness and preventive care for its employees–owners through 100 percent preventive care coverage and a Wellness Incentive Plan.
  • Long–Term Care – Kleinfelder offers this valuable benefit for chronic illness or disability.

 

Financial

  • 401(k) Retirement – KleinfelderÍs 401(k) Plan is a tax–deferred investment/retirement plan. There are several investment options.
  • Stock – Experience the benefits and rewards of owning stock in our company. In fiscal 1989, the company introduced an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This plan allows you to participate in developing the companyÍs future and build financial reserves for your future.
  • Savings Bonds – We offer the U.S. Savings Bond Completion Program. Savings bonds typically generate a higher rate of interest than savings accounts or CDs.
  • College Scholarships for Dependent Children – The Kleinfelder Academic Scholarship Plan (KASP) assists children of employee–owners who plan to continue their education at college or in vocational programs. Scholarships are offered each year.
  • Life & Accident Insurance – Life and Accident Insurance is an important part of protecting your family's financial well–being.
  • Disability – Our Short and Long Term Disability insurance provides the necessary income protection for a certified non–occupational injury, illness or disability.
  • Business Travelers Insurance – Whether you are traveling in the United States or abroad, the Assist America Program is an insurance benefit that follows you.

Other Benefits

  • Flexible Spending Accounts – Our Flexible Spending Account program allows employees to allocate pre–tax dollars to a reimbursement fund to pay for medical premiums, un–reimbursed medical expenses and dependent care assistance.
  • Group Legal Plan – For just pennies a day, the Legal Plan gives you your own “attorney on retainer.” Your Legal Plan lets you pick up the phone and call a lawyer for advice and services.
  • Group Auto and Home Insurance – We offer a voluntary group auto and home benefit program that provides access to insurance coverage for your personal insurance needs.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – Personal time off accrues according to your years of service with Kleinfelder. Generous accrual maximums and cash-out options allow flexibility when managing your time off.
  • Holidays – We offer holiday pay, and a personal floating holiday that you may designate.
  • Leaves of Absence – We recognize that employees may need to take extended time off from work. Leaves available are Family Medical, Pregnancy, Personal, Seasonal, Military, Work Compensation and Victims of Crime.
  • Employee Assistance Program – Our Employee Assistance Program provides support when personal issues affect your life or your work.
  • COBRA Coverage – COBRA is available so you can continue health coverage temporarily under various circumstances.
  • Catastrophic and Natural Disaster Fund Program – This provides financial assistance to employees faced with serious illness/family–related catastrophic illness or severe financial hardship.
