LOS ANGELES, California—Kleinfelder announced today that the firm recently executed and began work on phase one of a $5 million, one-year contract with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) as the prime vendor for as-needed specialty staff and materials testing services for various projects at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport in Southern California. This contract is expected to be extended.

LAWA recently launched a multi-billion dollar LAX modernization program which will involve construction of airside, landside, terminals and utility infrastructure projects.
